Switching windows breaks the talk

A standalone polling tool means leaving your deck, presenting a second thing, then coming back. It is fine once. It grates by the fourth time in an hour, and it is why in-deck tools exist at all.

What it does well: Works asynchronously. Set it, let people finish whenever they get to it, then read the report. Useful when getting everyone in one room at one time is the actual problem.
The trade-off: It has a teacher-led live mode, but self-paced assignments are what it is built around. For a moment shared on a screen in front of people, the presentation-first tools here put more of their design into it.
